How could people with accessibility needs take a more active role in the community of makers?

HI,

I’m Vita, a user researcher and MSc student at UCL. I’m exploring how people with accessibility needs could take a more active role in the community of makers.

I’m looking to find out what the main challenges are for spaces to become more accessible.

Would you have a moment to fill out a short questionnaire? There are 10 questions and it should take no longer than 4 minutes. surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MFCQYXV

You need to be a founder, organiser, studio manager or otherwise involved with a hackspace, FabLab or makerspace.

Thanks for helping me out!

Following this subject, has anybody had any success following the Disability Confident scheme?

We don’t (normally) have employers but it seems that following the guidance might be helpful?
